Redmond Library's New Chairs

The Redmond Branch of King County Library System has installed 100 of our Northampton model library and study chairs this week. Bellevue Library Renovation

King County Library System in Washington State ordered 235 Northampton library chairs for the renovation of their Bellevue branch, this marks our fourth project with one of the busiest library systems in the country. The Bellevue branch is King County's largest library branch with over 80,000 square feet, and was designed ZGF Architects. Duke University Marketplace Chairs

Camden Public Library Chairs

The Northampton chair, first introduced 5 years ago, was selected today for the second time in 2 months by Camden Public Library. The new chairs will be in Cherry with a Walnut seat and slats, rather than the more contemporary Maple & Walnut in the photo. Los Angeles Library Chooses Eustis Chair

There is a lot less money available these days for new libraries and renovations, so the choice of a reader chair is more critical than ever. The County of Los Angeles Public Library recently chose our Boise chair for their East Rancho Dominguez Library, as well as for another branch to follow. Final bids were accepted today by Las Vegas Clark County for 96 Medford chairs for the new Centennial Hills branch. County Librarian Daniel Walters was sold on the durability of the patented Eustis Joints®. Designer Susan Schoeman of JMA Architects liked the clean lines and great comfort of the Medford chair. Harvard Quincy House Dining Hall

The Faculty of Arts and Sciences at Harvard University has a regular program of renovating their elegant campus dining halls. For 2008, they are renovating Quincy House, and they have chosen our Jenkins chair for its clean, simple lines, and rock-solid durability. Quincy House will be the 8th major project that Eustis Chair has completed for Harvard since 1995. Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center

Every major US manufacturer of library furniture competed for the contract for the 300,000 sq. ft. Mathewson-IGT Knowledge Center at the University of Nevada, Reno. The contract for 922 chairs was awarded today to Eustis Chair. The RFP called for furniture that is "traditional and formal, comfortable, and exceptionally durable". Two Libraries Buy Jenkins Chair

Boston's New England School of Law took delivery today of 100 Jenkins chairs, to be followed in two months by a shipment to Boone County Public Library in Kentucky. Third Major Library Selects the Jenkins Chair

Bids were awarded today for 184 Jenkins chairs to be manufactured for the expansion/renovation of the Wheaton Public Library in Wheaton, IL. Library personnel first saw the Jenkins Chair at the 2005 ALA conference, and asked their architects, Dewberry, to look into this unique chair. After several months of deliberations, the chairs were finally ordered this week.

Alameda Public Library selects Jenkins Chair

The City of Alameda, CA, went to bid today for 204 Jenkins chairs for their new Alameda Free Library. San Francisco architects Page & Moris chose the Jenkins chair for its clean, contemporary lines and its Eustis Joint® durability. They also liked the fact that Eustis Chair would accommodate four configurations and 10 different fabrics to meet the design requirements of the library.

Oldest US Law Library Chooses Eustis Chair

The 200 year-old Jenkins Law Library is located in Philadelphia, PA, just three blocks from Independence Hall. Jackson County Library Services of Oregon, issued the purchase order today for their Medford Library for 314 custom hardwood chairs made with the patented Eustis Joint®. When the architects at Fletcher Farr Ayotte saw owner Fred Eustis Stand on the legs of one of our Eustis Joint® chairs, they realized that they did not have to give up elegance to achieve their client's goals for strength and durability.

Southern Oregon University Chooses Eustis

After a seven month search, Southern Oregon University decided today to go with a custom chair designed and manufactured by Eustis Chair for their library renovation project. After rejecting off-the-shelf chairs from Eustis and from several other manufacturers, the SOU selection committee, working with Portland, Oregon architects SRG Partnership, developed a design concept that led to the “Oregon Chair”, pictured at right.
The clean lines and elegant comfort of this chair would not have been possible without our patented Eustis Joint®, a system using concealed steel rods and space-age epoxies to create a joint that is stronger than the hardwood itself.
Contract discussions are currently underway for the purchase of 550 of this new custom chair, to be delivered in four phases between October of this year and January of 2005
