It’s never a bad time to give your wood chairs a thorough cleaning. In the face of Covid 19, we will all be instituting new measures to keep our patrons safe and happy. These measures include keeping any space that is open to the public clean and disinfected. There’s no better time to learn how to properly disinfect wood chairs!

Eustis Chair recommends the homemade wood furniture cleaning solution below. We use this solution as an all-purpose wood cleaner and disinfectant.

Materials Needed:

  • Spray bottle
  • 2 cups Water
  • 1 cup White vinegar
  • Dish soap (We prefer Dawn)
  • Two rags (One to clean the chairs and one to dry chairs)

Step 1:

Fill a spray bottle with 2 cups of water, 1 cup of white vinegar, and about five drops of dish soap. The vinegar works as a disinfectant and the dish soap helps to clean the chair.

Step 2:

Spray the solution onto the wood furniture. Next, wipe off the solution with a damp cleaning rag. Using a damp rag removes any remaining traces of the vinegar and soap mixture. Continue this process on the remaining wooden furniture until each piece is cleaned and disinfected.

Step 3:

Wipe the furniture with a dry cleaning rag to remove any excess moisture.

Step 4:

Enjoy your clean hardwood chairs.
