Frequently Asked Questions

What is the Eustis Chair order process?

Pick your preferred style of chair from our catalog or binder, and contact us to speak with one of our chair experts to be sure the chairs you like match the seating needs of your space. Once we have identified the right chairs for your project, we will send you sample chairs to test and review, free of charge. Once you have chosen your chair(s) we will prepare a written proposal, including delivery cost. You can choose stain color and fabric either before or after you place your order. Lead time for completion varies from 10-12 weeks; this time can be longer during the summer, or on more complex orders.

Can you send sample chairs?

Yes! We prefer to have you see and sit in a sample chair before you order, and will send out sample chairs anywhere in the US to qualified prospects free of charge.

Where can I get a price or quote for your chairs?

Please call us at (978) 827-3103 or email us at [email protected]. Pricing varies based on several factors including chair model, order quantities, hardwood specie, and fabric selection. We will be happy to provide you with a quote for your institution’s unique needs.

How much is freight to ship my chairs?

Packaging and delivery costs vary greatly based on the number of chairs ordered and the delivery location. It typically runs 5-10% of the chair’s price. We will be happy to provide you with a delivery quote.

Do we need a dolly for our chairs?

We sell custom hand trucks to move stacks of Eustis Chairs around your facility. We recommend one Transporter per 100 chairs. No dollies are required for storage.

What type of wood does Eustis Chair use?

We use whatever hardwood specie our customers require, as long as it meets our standards for strength and durability. Common hardwood species include ash, beech, cherry, hard maple, red oak, white oak, and walnut.

What fabric can I choose for my upholstered chairs?

You can use any fabric that is commercially available and suitable for use on chair seats. You can find a list of past fabric suppliers here.

Are wood seat chairs available with a cushioned seat?

Yes. All but a few Eustis Chairs are available with either a wood seat – scooped and sanded for superior comfort – or a cushion seat covered in a fabric of your choice.

What wood stain colors do you offer?

We offer any stain color you want. We have a standard colors selection you can choose from here; we can also create a custom color, including a match for your preexisting furniture.

What bar stool and counter stool heights do you offer?

Our bar stools are designed for bar-height use, with a seating height of 30”. We also offer the same bar stools at counter height, with a seating height of 24”. Custom heights can be arranged as well.

What type of chair glides do you recommend?

Our standard glide is a heavy-duty cushioned steel glide, which we recommend for most floors, including wood and other hard floors. When requested, we also offer a nylon glide for less noise, a domed plastic glide for carpet-only floors, and a felt glide for reduced noise and scratching (but with frequent maintenance).

If you would like replacement glides, please contact us at (978) 827-3013 or by email. We will be happy to help you find a source for glides best suited for your space.

Can you add castors to your chairs?

Yes! We have engineered a very durable set of castors which can be added to many Eustis Chair models, either on the front legs only, or on all four legs.

Do you offer chairs with book or bible holders?

Yes! We can add a book holder to many of our chairs during our custom manufacturing process.

Can you add arms or a tablet-arm to your chairs?

With just a few exceptions, all Eustis Chairs are available with arms. We can also add a tablet arm to many of our classroom and library chairs.

How should I care for and maintain my Eustis Chairs?

Eustis Chair takes great pride in manufacturing the highest quality hardwood chairs available. Please refer to our Care and Maintenance Guide for an outline on our recommendations.

Does Eustis Chair offer logo, seal, or crest engraving?

Yes! We offer laser engravings to display your institution logo, seal, or crest on a desired portion of your Eustis Chairs, usually on the Top Back or on a Back Splat.

What does C.O.M. and C.O.L. mean?

C.O.M. refers to customer’s own materials and C.O.L refers to customer’s own leather. Every Eustis Chair is sold C.O.M or C.O.L. meaning that you can select any commercially available fabric, vinyl, or leather for your chairs. We are also happy to help you select your fabric or leather. Contact us to discuss options.
