Custom Designed Chairs
The city of Jacksonville issued its PO today for 638 custom-designed chairs. The chairs are for its new Jacksonville Main Branch Library. The city of Jacksonville reached out to us with an exciting renovation project, The introduced us to their NYC-based architect, Robert A.M. Stern Architects. The design team, Robert Stern and Eustis Chair, created a solid Walnut chair. The new Eustis Chair will reside in the striking $95 million building. Once again, the company has incorporated our patented Eustis Joint® into the design to create a chair that is just as durable as it is elegant and functional.
We love libraries because they are a core part of our business. We create hardwood chairs for high-use spaces, and libraries are about the highest use they come. Every day, libraries see hundreds if not thousands of people coming in and out of their library. All of those people have to sit somewhere! In addition, more people means more daily wear and tear on each chair. There is nothing more annoying than having to replace your chairs every few years.
