Library and Study Chair
It’s no secret that hardwood chairs beat metal and plastic chairs for appearance and comfort. Therefore, hardwood chairs are perfect for library and study spaces. Universities across the country praise our durable yet elegant chairs for their ability to suit their institutions.
Skidmore College reached out with brand new chair project. Skidmore is located in Saratoga Springs, NY. For the design of the project, Skidmore College called on Michael Cohen of Boston based Elkus Manfredi Architects. Furthermore, in 2012, Elkus helped renovate Skidmore’s Lucy Scribner Library. Furthermore, the project aimed to to expand the library and study areas.
Working with the College, and Michael Cohen, we carefully designed a brand new chair for the college. After much communication and back and forth, we designed a new chair for their new sitting areas. The new Skidmore library and study chair contains features for added comfort. The chair has an eased back for enhanced comfort and features an upholstered seat and chair back. In addition, all of our chairs with a Eustis Joint comes with an unmatched 20 year warranty against joint failure.
