America’s First Lending Library

Sustainable Wood Library Chairs

We love library renovations almost as much as we love chairs! Recently, we worked with Franklin Public Library on their library renovation. Franklin Public Library is located in Franklin, Massachusetts. A while back, Franklin began planning to renovate their historic library. They also decided to expand the capacity of their library. The expansion would allow more of the community to enjoy the facility designed by LLB Architects. The Architects were hired to expand and renovate Franklins’ historical Library. Franklin Public Library selected Eustis Chair to build replacement sustainable wood library chairs. They needed a beautiful looking wooden chair that that would last decades. Franklin knew that its public library would see an increase in use after the renovation. Therefore, they needed chairs that could hold up to the daily wear and tear.

The Library chose our comfortable Federal Reserve chair. The committee chose the Federal Reserve for the traditional Bank of England design. They loved the unmatched durability of our proprietary Eustis Joint® construction. Furthermore, they loved that every chair with a Eustis Joint comes with 20 year warranty. We are proud to be building chairs for America’s first lending library. In fact, the historic library received books from Ben Franklin in 1778. The renovation restored the library to it’s former historical glory!
