We first designed the Ivy League chair in collaboration with renowned New York City architect Robert A.M. Stern Architects LLP. The architects designed this special project specifically for Harvard University. The custom chair design represents a simplified interpretation of the classic Chippendale style. It is rooted in historical design. Like all of our university chairs, the Ivy League’s construction enables many years of hard daily use. Because our joinery lasts a lifetime, you will only need to purchase chairs once. Moreover, we constructed this chair with our durable mortise and tenon joinery. In addition, it is complete with wood stretchers to ensure durability. Our joinery is the strongest joinery on the market and guarantees the chairs to last for decades of hard use.
