Our client at the University of Maine reached out to us needing extremely durable school dining chairs. They liked the elegance and functionality of our stacking Merrimac chair, but needed a chair that weighs 14 pounds or less. Our remarkable Eustis Joints® allowed us to re-engineer the chair to the target weight of 14 pounds without sacrificing the ease-of-use or the elegance of the original chair. In fact, our Eustis Joint is the strongest and most durable on the market. To make our joints strong, we inject each joint with steel rods and retrograde epoxy for added stability. Thus, the Orono chair became part of our line with spindles like harp strings making up the seat back. And it comes with an additional 20 year warranty!

All Eustis Chairs are manufactured to order in our United States chair factory from your choice of sustainable hardwood, in either wood or cushioned seat, and will be custom stained to match your tables or millwork.
