Universal Hardwood Chairs
The Skillman chair embraces craftsman design with unmatched comfort and durability. Like all of our traditionally built chairs, we engineer the Skillman with our special “box construction” configuration. Moreover, this means using oversized mortise and tenon joints with reinforcing dowel pins to create a chair that will endure for generations. It is one of our most simple, yet durable designs. Of course, the design elements include a slight back curve for seating comfort. It also includes three back panels and bottom bars for construction support. Lastly, the wooden aesthetic is extremely versatile and perfect for any institution.
In addition, this chair is the non-stacking version of the Bartlett Hall, and shares the same chair frame design as the Fairfield, to create a new look. Designed for an Arts & Crafts style library in Detroit, the architect and client were delighted with the chair’s comfort and style. Furthermore, the Skillman is made to order in our United States chair factory and can be customized for your project. Of course, any chair in our line is available in any hardwood, arms or no arms, stain color, and choice of seat upholstery.
