This iconic chair was orginally designed by architects Carrère and Hastings, who also designed the renowned Stephen A. Schwarzman Building on Fifth Avenue and 42nd Street. Made from robust red oak and a resilient conversion varnish finish, this design first made its debut at the building’s grand opening in 1911.
