Back splat- Wider piece of wood used in the back assembly of a chair

Back slat- Vertical or horizontal pieces of wood used in the back assembly of a chair

Mid Rail- A rail close to the back of the chair 

Front Rail- Rail that runs along the front of the chair

Side Rail- Rail that runs along the side of the chair
