This chair is the first of its kind: an elegant traditional chair that is stackable. The design of this chair was made possible by a revolutionary new joining technology that uses precisely spaced steel rods and space-age epoxies to create a seat joint that is stronger than the wood itself. The University of Chicago has chosen this distinctive Arts & Crafts design for their restoration of Bartlett Hall, a Neo-Gothic dining hall built at the turn of the century.
The Bartlett Hall stacking chair is available in any sustainable hardwood that fits our strength standards as either side chair or arm chair, wood or cushioned seat using any commercially available fabric or leather, and will be custom stained to match your project.
