The University of Nevada Reno is a top tier research institution. In fact, it has a Carnegie Classification R1. This is a big deal in the higher education realm. This classification means they are leading the way. Their smart research abilities made themselves known when they decided how to furnish their newest library. When it came to their library install, they knew who to contact. Eustis Chair was up for the job!
Established in 1911, Appleby College is a private secondary school in the Toronto area. Accordingly, Appleby College boasts an impressive list of alumni from around the world as well as Canada. The culture of the school encourages their graduates to succeed. (Which they do.) They have a school-wide focus on student emotional well-being. The school helps students find their passion. It is safe to say that Appleby College is an impressive boarding school. We are proud to call them our first International customers. They are the first school in Canada to order hardwood stacking chairs.
Smith College, located in Northampton, Massachusetts, has a beautiful campus. Additionally, the entire campus is a botanic garden. Accordingly, there are thousands of plants both indoors and outdoors on the campus! The campus offers one of the best on campus art museums in the country. According to their website, Smith College’s libraries “are the intellectual crossroads for the community.” That’s where Eustis Chair enters the picture. Fittingly, Eustis Chair makes durable library chairs in stacking and non-stacking versions.
Eustis Chair first connected with University of Richmond four years ago at the American Association of Law Libraries show. The school liked our chairs, and kept Eustis Chair in mind. The University of Richmond William Taylor Muse Law Library ordered 48 of our Widener chairs. These chairs have an upholstered back. We now call them the Richmond chair. These are perfect law library hardwood chairs!
It is the oldest university in the United States. To say Harvard University is a well-respected institution would be an understatement. Harvard has trained top individuals in every field since 1636. In 1636 the Great and General Court of the Massachusetts Bay Colony approved the start of Harvard. We sure are glad they did.
The Boston Public Central Library in Copley Square is beautiful. According to the Library’s website: “At the cornerstone-laying ceremony of the Boston Public Library’s Central Library in 1888, Dr. Oliver Wendell Holmes proclaimed before the gathered crowd that ‘This palace is the people’s own.'”
First of all, Harvard University is the oldest and most well-known university in the United States. Accordingly, Harvard is comprised of 11 main academic units. Located in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Harvard has many dining facilities. Harvard Quincy House is one of those facilities. When they needed new dining chairs, and they reached out to Eustis Chair.

Wallingford Public Library, in Wallingford Connecticut, offers the local community a comfortable place to study, relax, and read. The Wallingford Public Library worked with Janice Newell of JNI Design to choose a new classic library chair.
One of the many chair designs that Eustis Chair makes are the Jenkins Law Library chairs. The Jenkins Law Library chair has narrow rails. Eustis Chair designed the King and Prince chair for a four star resort. This resort needed a stackable chair to match their Victorian dining room. However, you do not need a Victorian dining room to order this chair. It is a lovely chair that looks beautiful in any space, including yours. The King and Prince arm chair stacks 6 chairs high. The classic Victorian style of this arm chair includes claw arm details. This Victorian stacking arm chair is gorgeous! The crest rail along the top of the chair slopes down from its finials. It has a gracefully carved back slat, presenting a seat that seems tailored for royalty. Its arm chair iteration ends in seat rails similar to the paws of a lion, a common symbol for powerful dynasties.
Eustis Chair recently worked with Salt Lake, Utah based MJSA Architects for a fun library wood chair project. The Ephraim City Library loves research. They are a gathering place for locals to complete research. Of course they would not make a decision for a new library chair without doing their research first. They researched. They went with Eustis Chair, of course! The library and the architects made a great decision. Eustis Chair loves to work with libraries of all sizes.
Eustis Chair first met St. Louis based Mackey Mitchell Architects at university trade shows. They happened to be an exhibitor at several of the same trade shows as us. We were able to tell them all about our patented Eustis Joint®. The Eustis Joint makes the chair joints stronger than the hardwood itself. Isn’t that something? We love to make dining room chairs for great institutions.
Yale University enjoys working with Eustis Chair, and the feeling is mutual. For this project with Yale University, Eustis Chair paired up with Chicago based HBRA Architects. Yale University knew they wanted custom made chairs for their major renovation of the Bass Library, formerly known as the Cross Campus Library. After researching custom chair companies, Yale University chose Eustis Chair.
Harvard-Westlake School is a well-known private school in Los Angeles, California. They have 1600 students on campus from 157 zip codes. With over 100 on-campus clubs and activities as well as an impressive list of alumni, it’s easy to see why so many people want to attend. Eustis Chair designed the Westlake Contemporary Chair for Harvard-Westlake School. They are not the only ones who love our Westlake Chair for it’s contemporary chair design.
