Maricopa County Chair

Library renovations are a core part of our business. Why? Because every good library needs comfortable yet durable seating. What’s better than curling up with a good book in a comfortable chair? Furthermore, libraries are some of the highest use spaces. Chairs with durable joinery is a must. Most cheap wooden chairs are made with less durable joinery. However, those chairs tend to break after only a few years of use. We craft our chairs with steel rods and reinforce them with retrograde epoxy for added stability. Swarthmore College

The second of two batches of Skillman chairs was delivered today to Swarthmore College. Furthermore, the second installation was 100 chairs to the Cornell Science Library at Swarthmore College. Two weeks ago we delivered 55 Skillman chairs to Beverly Hills Public Library. This classic Arts & Crafts style chair design was developed two years ago for the Detroit Public Library’s Skillman Library Branch and has become a mainstay in our line of traditional library chairs.

Wheaton Public Library

Bids were awarded today for 184 Jenkins chairs to be manufactured for the expansion/renovation of the Wheaton Public Library. Furthermore, Wheaton Public Library is located in Wheaton, IL. Library personnel first saw the Jenkins Chair at the 2005 ALA conference. They loved the chairs’ simple elegance. Later, they asked their architects, Dewberry, to look into this unique chair. After several months of deliberations, the durable library chairs were finally ordered this week.

HBS Spangler Grillroom

Five years ago Harvard Business School opened The Spangler Center. The center featured an elegant Grillroom in the 1920’s style of the original HBS campus. The Windsor-style chairs selected for the facility did not hold up. In fact, the chairs were breaking at the joints and hardwood. Therefore, HBS decided to replace them with our Tall Edison chairs. Eustis Chair built 650 of our similar, but shorter Edison chairs for Harvard University’s Annenberg dining hall. The dining hall is located in Memorial Hall and was built in 1995. Furthermore, all but 30 of our old chairs are still in service after 11 years. We are extremely proud of our chairs and their ability to withstand daily use by 1,200 college freshmen. Our Tall Edison chairs were the perfect Harvard dining hall chairs.

Saint Mary’s College

When Saint Mary’s College of California’s planners decided to renovate their main dining hall, and we were some of the firs people to they called. The beloved Oliver Hall was a little outdated and needed an upgrade. The planners and committee members insisted on wooden stacking chairs,. However, the wanted something that would upgrade the look and feel of their older facility. The old chairs were falling apart. In addition, the joints of the old chairs were causing the chairs to break. Luckily, we craft our chairs with the best joinery on the market. We add steel rods to the legs and tension points of our chairs for added stability. In addition, we inject each tension point with retrograde epoxy for reinforcement.

Bridgewater State Orders Phase-2 Library Chairs

Maxwell Library is one of the libraries at Bridgewater State University in Massachusetts. It is often used by students for research and studying. Studying is an important part of the college experience. When students study, they want to be comfortable. For the ultimate comfort, there is no better choice than hardwood chairs. Hardwood chairs are great for back pain. No student wants to experience back pain while they are trying to learn new information. That would be a huge distraction. Carleton College Dining Hall Renovation

Carleton College, in Northfield, Minnesota, has about 2000 students on campus. The town of Northfield has about 20,000 residents total. The college is only 40 miles to St. Paul and Minneapolis. They have students from all 50 states on campus. The college offers 33 majors and over 1000 classes, which is a lot of offerings for a college this size. The college describes their model as “a true Liberal Arts education.” The college has a lot to be proud of. We are certain they are also proud of their newest dining hall. This dining hall renovation includes a bar stool, side chair, and arm chair order by Eustis Chair.

New Dartmouth Custom Wood Furniture

The University of Massachusetts, Dartmouth has about 8500 students from 47 states. Opened in 1895 as the New Bedford Textile School, the university has a long and storied history. The school trains a lot of new scholars each year. They even conduct $26.6 million in research annually. Eustis Chair loves to work with universities and colleges. We made custom wood furniture for the school to utilize.

Cornell Orders Oberlin Classroom Chairs

Cornell University is one of the greats. The university is in Ithaca, New York. Founded in 1865 by Ezra Cornell and Andrew Dickson White, it opened in 1868. In fact, it is the very first land-grant institution in New York state! It is a private, Ivy league institution. The school is often described as the first “truly American university.” There are almost 16,000 students at Cornell. These students are shaping the future of our country and our world. Simmons College New Custom Library Chair

Simmons University in Boston recently worked with Boston based architects Fletcher Harkness Cohen & Moneyhum. The goal is creating a special interior for the new university library. They asked Eustis Chair to modify an already existing Eustis Chair model. Simmons University wanted to makeover our very popular Charleston Chair for this project. Eustis Chair agreed. The outcome is unbelievable. The Simmons college chair is a fine model.
