Mashpee Public Library

In 1887 Mary F. Holmes donated a piece of land in Mashpee, Massachusetts that would become the Mashpee Public Library. In 1891 Mashpee voted to be one of the first 36 towns in Massachusetts to open a public library. The town and state put forth $115 to fund the original library.
